The Three Rivers Rambler is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. They operate about a two hour excursion. The people are pretty laid back and friendly. It is one of the few excursions where you can get-up and move about through the train. They also offer cab rides but were adamant about maintaining the age requirements for the kids. ( If they can't do it, then I'm not doing it. ) The excursion departs from a beautiful riverfront area and actually parallels the river for some time before crossing it (Tennessee River) The city seems like it has a bit to offer, be we didn't get to spend as much time there as planned as our drive there from Chattanooga was interrupted by a car accident (not ours) on the main connecting freeway between the two cities. We did, however, get to relax by the river and take in some scenery. They have a steam operated riverboat that offers cruises that looked pretty interesting. Unfortunately, due to our time restraints, we had to pass on that. I would definitely return again for the train and to see some more sights.
